Good instrument, great price Jul 03, 2010 I recently purchased 2 pairs each of the 7.5" Lister Sharp/Blunt (3 dollar version) and 5.5" Lister Sharp/Blunt w/ clip (again the $3 version). They arrived promptly and in good condition. I tested them on cardboard, denim and a terrycloth towel and they cut well through all. They appear to be pretty sturdy, but are not as heavy and thick as some I have run across, but those were probably $15+ scissors. The price is what got the 5th star on these scissors. I can't speak to their longevity yet, but in my ER experience these kind of things tend to get borrowed permanently before they break. So I ordered multiples, and at the price I can afford to make this purchase again once my stockpile has been depleted, hopefully not for a couple years though.
Not practical for use Dec 31, 2009 I am a nursing student which means that when the opportunity arises, I am there with full gear! Unfortunately, these scissors have let me down so many times. I was not able to cut through simply 4X4 gauze, or abdominal bandages to custom fit patients for wound care. I have tried to sharpen them but that too also failed.

Very decent scissors, especially for the price Jun 21, 2009 Well finished, with nicely honed blades, it absolutely will get the job done, but I wouldn't exactly call it a precision surgical instrument, nor a pinnacle of the metal-worker's art. The sort of scissors a medical professional would trust by his/her side for years, but would probably toss in the garbage on retirement day, rather than passing on as a treasured gift to future generations.

nice, sturdy, well-made medical scissors Aug 04, 2008 I guess all of us nurses feel the need for bandage scissors in our pockets, and this is a sturdy, well-made pair. I'd buy them again.

American Diagnostic Corporation 3010G Corrosion Resistant Surgical Stainless Steel Gold 5 1/2" Lister Bandage Scissors Apr 02, 2007 Scissors were as advertised, fast shipment and undamaged. Worked great for removing tape from my daughter's ankles that she gets tapped before each basketball game.
